From the vineyards in the municipalities of Verduno, Roddi and La Morra, a pure Nebbiolo that is tinged with pink. A rosé with two harvest periods - the first at the end of August, the second at the end of October - where the marked acidity of the early harvest is combined with the ripe fullness of the second, calibrated with the skins in contact for 6 hours. A slight residual sugar gives a soft touch to the palate, leaving room for a fresh and addictive acidity. It has the typical Nebbiolo nose, with currant and raspberry, citrus fruits and a promise of flavor, and a large and juicy mouth, slender with a long and fresh acidity. We could not find Nebbiolo as a more suitable aperitif, to accompany slightly aged cheeses, fish and shellfish, vegetables and light dishes.
Variety: Nebbiolo 100%
Monvigliero state of mind. A velvety hill that unites the heart of Verduno with Alba, the capital of the Langhe. An amphitheater with slight slopes and a solid ground of marl and sandstone that gives full voice to the prince of the hill: Nebbiolo. In the harmony of this territory, Diego grows grapes with daily passion. The story of the Morra winery is a story that involves three generations, which began in the mid-twentieth century from a small patch of land and which today has 30 hectares of vineyards distributed between Verduno, La Morra and Roddi. A constantly evolving story, where the balance between man and nature is constantly renewed. Today at the helm is Diego, the heir who has firmly embarked on the route towards environmental sustainability: each grape variety is placed within the most suitable terroir, leading it to full self-expression. For Diego Morra, recognizing and enhancing the peculiarities of the vineyards in which he works is crucial. Most of the vineyards are mainly cultivated with Nebbiolo, but there is a significant presence of all the typical vines of the area, such as Dolcetto, Barbera and Pelaverga.
