Timoteo enters the scene surprising with his frankness. A pure, honest juice from Galicia, a small and historic production area in the Gattinara hills where Nebbiolo takes the name of "Spanna". It is a pure Nebbiolo, yet it expresses an absolutely peculiar character, son of a very rich soil of volcanic origin. From over 40-year-old vineyards renowned for their southern exposure and for their very low acidity, Timoteo's gentle elegance is built on sinuous and spicy notes that evolve into citrus and balsamic scents, where the sapidity heir to the mineral soil makes as a protagonist. After fermentation in steel, the Nebbiolo continues its journey with a maceration of over 20 days. It ages in wood for 35 months, of which 24 in oak tonneaux, before resting for a few months in the bottle.
Gaggiano takes its name from the locality in the municipality of Lessona where the recently renovated cellar of the Fabris family resides. Here, following in the footsteps of Grandfather Gervasio, the heirs have carried on the typical winemaking tradition of the area with great respect through careful viticulture and winemaking. Upper Piedmont, known for its numerous sub-areas and for the richness of its terroirs, is where Gaggiano's philosophy finds its full form: producing small quantities, always focusing on the quality of the raw material. This is Gaggiano's approach to expressing and maximizing the identities of the individual denominations it represents today: Bramaterra, Gattinara, Coste della Sesia and, soon, also Lessona.
