From small plots of about 40 years old in the municipalities of Sostegno and Casa del Bosco in the Province of Biella, this wine from Upper Piedmont is born. A splendid expression of this area so suited, the Coste della Sesia Rosso is the brother of
Leandro , but has a more complex structure. The soil of this area is characterized by sands and rocks of volcanic origin where Nebbiolo (locally known as "Spanna") finds an ideal microclimate. Despite 2017 being a hot year, Bramaterra maintains a perfect balance enhanced by the contribution of the native varieties of Vespolina and Croatina.
Following the fermentation in steel, we move on to a maceration whose duration varies for the different grape varieties. The Bramaterra then ages for 22 months in wood, of which 18 in oak tonneaux, before ending with a few months in the bottle.
Gervasio is dedicated to the homonymous grandfather Fabris, the one who has always dedicated himself to the vineyard and to the family, bringing together all the souls every year for the harvest.
