From small plots of about 40 years in the municipalities of Sostegno and Casa del Bosco in the Province of Biella, this wine from Upper Piedmont is born. Splendid expression of this so suitable area, this Bramaterra is the older brother of Leandro
, but has a more complex structure. The soil of this area is characterized by sands and rocks of volcanic origin where the Nebbiolo locally known as "Spanna" finds an ideal microclimate. Although 2017 is a hot vintage, Bramaterra maintains a perfect balance enhanced by the contribution of the native varieties of Vespolina and Croatina.
Following the fermentation in steel, we pass to a maceration whose duration varies for the different vines. The Bramaterra then ages for 22 months in wood, 18 of which in oak tonneaux, before ending with a few months in the bottle.
Gervasio is dedicated to the homonymous grandfather Fabris, who has always dedicated himself to the vineyard and to the family, bringing together all the souls every year for the harvest.
