Everyday Barbera has a name: Umberta. A wine with a very pleasant freshness and easy to drink, produced from grapes coming from vineyards planted between 1940 and 1999. Umberta is fermented in concrete tanks where it is also aged for about 10/11 months before resting in the bottle for 3 months. Umberta, Iuli's starter wine, is like an old friend who is always on point, with a big smile and a glass half full. A Barbera for women, rich and juicy, with the scent of wild berries and a fresh and pulpy taste.

In the northernmost area of Monferrato is Montaldo Cerrina, a town with very few souls that has been living in the spotlight for some years thanks to the splendid work done by Fabrizio Iuli, winemaker, and his wife Summer Wolf - whose latest and visionary project is the establishment of a Steiner-inspired school where food and agriculture are at the center of education. From the first time Summer and Fabrizio welcomed us into their home as if we were family, giving us enlightening moments in the vineyard and moments of pure conviviality on the table (Ah, those fresh tomatoes from the garden! Ah, Fabrizio's mother's famous agnolotti!) . Iuli is a place, a mission and a state of mind that enters the heart. Since 1998 Fabrizio has been producing wine with a natural and sustainable approach. He started with Barbera, the undisputed queen of these hills, inaugurating the first harvest with Rossore, his most iconic wine. But the attention and passion for the native Piedmontese varieties pushed Fabrizio further and further, and as a convinced reddish he is now also facing the world of white wines. So Fabrizio, what's next?
