Rossore is the wine that christened Fabrizio Iuli the winemaker in 1998. An iconic and emblematic wine, the one that brought many people closer to Iuli's mission. After fermentation in cement tanks, Rossore ages in large barrels for 24 months before resting in the bottle for a further 6. He named it this because of the color it leaves on your cheeks after a few glasses, because it's not difficult for a sip to call the other. Rossore is a wine that warms and cheers, fully representative of its variety, Barbera, which in the north of Monferrato is confirmed as elegant, fresh and highly drinkable.
Variety: Barbera 100%
In the northernmost area of Monferrato is Montaldo Cerrina, a town with very few souls that has been living in the spotlight for some years thanks to the splendid work done by Fabrizio Iuli, winemaker, and his wife Summer Wolf - whose latest and visionary project is the establishment of a Steiner-inspired school where food and agriculture are at the center of education. From the first time Summer and Fabrizio welcomed us into their home as if we were family, giving us enlightening moments in the vineyard and moments of pure conviviality on the table (Ah, those fresh tomatoes from the garden! Ah, Fabrizio's mother's famous agnolotti!) . Iuli is a place, a mission and a state of mind that enters the heart. Since 1998 Fabrizio has been producing wine with a natural and sustainable approach. He started with Barbera, the undisputed queen of these hills, inaugurating the first harvest with Rossore, his most iconic wine. But the attention and passion for the native Piedmontese varieties pushed Fabrizio further and further, and as a convinced reddish he is now also facing the world of white wines. So Fabrizio, what's next?
