The Grasso family was born with the Asili cru, one of the best known and most appreciated cru in Barbaresco, the very one in which they have the great fortune of growing the oldest vines. Some of them are over 60 years old! Following a very long fermentation in steel with submerged cap, the wine continues with an aging of 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and a short passage in tonneaux. It concludes by spending six months in the bottle. The result is a Barbaresco with complex and multifaceted aromas, spicy but with delicate floral notes that envelop it in a velvety body. Although the 2017 vintage was not very generous, the Grasso family managed to grasp the best of it, giving life once again to a wine of great expressiveness and elegance.
