In the Vercelli area, rice is a serious matter, but for Alice Cerutti of Cascina Oschiena it is even more so. Alice saw in rice much more than an iconic food or a symbol of local culture and an easily rideable wave. For this young direct farmer with an economics degree in her pocket and a background in marketing, rice was a call and a challenge: to produce rice of the highest quality, but do it in a sustainable way, safeguarding the territory and promoting its biodiversity.
